Who looks after your information

[Your full legal name or registered business name], [Full postal address, with PIN code], decides how your information is used on invite4U. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name and email address, from the email or Google login you use.
  • What you put in an invite: the hosts’ names, the names of family members you add, event names, dates, times, venues, map links and messages.
  • Payments: the amount, date, status and payment reference from Razorpay. Your card, UPI and bank details go to Razorpay directly; we never receive them.
  • Technical details: your device’s IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept in our hosting provider’s logs to keep the site working and secure.

Drafts you make before logging in are saved only in your own browser, until you log in or delete them.

Why we use it

  • to save your drafts and show your published invite to the people you send it to;
  • to take payment and keep the records Indian tax law requires;
  • to email you about your invite, payments and important changes to the service;
  • to prevent misuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your information, show advertising, or use your invites to build marketing profiles.

Who can see it

Anyone with your invite’s link can see everything shown in the invite. A draft’s preview link works the same way. Only put in details you are happy for your guests, and anyone they forward the link to, to see.

We share information only with the companies that help us run the service, and only what each one needs:

  • Vercel and Cloudflare, which host the site and serve invites;
  • Supabase, which stores accounts and drafts;
  • Razorpay, which handles payments.

Some of these companies may store information outside India. We would also share information if the law required it, for example on a valid order from a court or the police.

Information about other people

When you add family members or other people to an invite, please make sure they are happy to be included. Anyone named in an invite can ask us to remove their name, and we will tell you when we do.

How long we keep it

  • Published invites stay online until you delete them or ask us to.
  • Drafts stay until you delete them. Drafts left untouched for two years may be deleted after we email you.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your account and invites within 30 days.
  • Payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, even after an account is deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also name someone to act for you if you can’t. Email support@invite4u.in and we will reply within 7 days.

If you have a complaint about how we handle your information, contact our grievance officer, [Name of the person who handles complaints], at support@invite4u.in. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and browser storage

We use your browser’s storage to keep you logged in and to save drafts on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

Accounts are for adults (18 and over). Children’s names may appear in an invite when a parent or guardian adds them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and email you about important changes. Questions are welcome on our contact page.
